The Helix™ The Clot Buster® Thrombectomy Device is a rotational mechanical thrombectomy catheter. The device is powered by compressed air or nitrogen. A drive shaft, extending the length of the catheter, rotates an encapsulated impeller housed at the distal end of the device. At speeds of over 100,000 RPM, this miniature impeller creates a recirculating vortex, which homogenizes thrombus to < 10 microns.

The Helix The Clot Buster Device is indicated for use in the mechanical dissolution of acute and subacute thrombus within synthetic dialysis access grafts and native vessel dialysis fistulae.
