Protege® EverFlex® Self-Expanding Biliary Stent System

Flexibility Sustained: Durability Delivered

The Protege® EverFlex® Self-Expanding Biliary Stent System is a self-expanding Nitinol stent system designed for the palliative treatment of malignant neoplasms in the biliary tree. The stent is made of a nickel titanium alloy (Nitinol) and comes pre-mounted on an over-the-wire delivery system. The stent is cut from a Nitinol tube into an open lattice design and is designed with tantalum radiopaque markers at the proximal and distal ends of the stent. Upon deployment, the stent achieves its predetermined diameter and exerts a constant outward force to establish patency in the biliary ducts. The Protege EverFlex Self-Expanding Stent System was awarded the 2006 Frost & Sullivan Product Innovation Award.
